Black Husky was born in 1994 from a passion for art, in whatever form, and for freedom in general. Arts have a strong autonomy. They must meet little or no external demands and dogmas. In fact, art doesn’t “have to” do anything. Art is free, the artistic minds are free. This allows them to hold up a mirror to society without being punished by it. This was the starting point for creating Black Husky, to support and promote artistic freedom as a defining symbiosis.

The Art Agency allows me to constantly intertwine both my professional and private life with art and the creativity that comes with it. Developing an own art collection, acting as an agent for numerous artists, participating in hundreds of art fairs at home and abroad, organizing exhibitions at private and public locations, you name it. Especially the authentic moments with the artists themselves, often late at night after a few nightcaps, are an absolute added value in my life. They provide the perfect counterbalance to the conditioned design of our social, societal and economic framework. The fact that I’ve been around for a while now, has led me to only engage in activities that really fascinate me. And in the case of art this means the type of art that earns my respect because of its realness and authenticity. By the way, art and authenticity are almost the only advantage we still have over the digital storm surge that drags us into a tsunami of superficiality. Creativity is frequently underestimated, at the expense of an often over-reliance on research, strategy and technological know-how. During my many travels, I constantly noticed that the latter approach simply doesn’t always work. In India, for example, 95% of the population benefits more from a refrigerator made of clay that keeps food cool and uses no electricity than the most sophisticated refrigerator that exists. Standard solutions are of no use here, but rather creativity in abundance!

Above all, art enables me to acquire a creative attitude that I, as a multiple and serial entrepreneur, can apply time and time again to make projects and companies a success. As a result, I can also avoid linear thinking in interim, change, project and crisis management, and rather offer out-of-the-box solutions that provide breathing space in the short term and have a lasting positive impact in the long term. These actions can only succeed if, just like an artist, I am given the freedom to hold up a mirror to others, and of course always myself. As a recognized mediator, I also guide my clients in the direction of creative solutions that are win-win for both and supported by both. For almost 3 decades now I have had the privilege of being very involved with art and especially the people behind the art, which has convinced me that creativity is a great resource for, amongst others, lateral and fractal thinking, which should form the foundation of both a fit economy and a healthy social system. By the way, the new economy is green, social and innovative!
